Mr. K VIjay Kumar Jammu and Kashmir Governor's Advisor inaugurated two Nursing and Midwifery colleges on Sunday, 15th September 2019. One college of GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) and another college of ANM (Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery) has been inaugurated in Udhampur and Ramban districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Students who wish to join Nursing & Midwifery Courses after 12th in J&K will be able to apply in these colleges soon.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kumar also inaugurated and laid the foundation of various projects for the developments of sports infrastructure in Jammu.
An official spokesperson informed that the total expenditure of ANM school building in Ramban is around Rs.2.69 crore. While Rs. 84.90 lakhs have been sanctioned for lab equipment, audiovisual aids, books, and furniture. A total of 40 seats have been approved three Nursing and Midwifery courses.
The GNM School at Bailey Udhahmpur district will be one of its kind in. The GNM School has state-of-the-art-facilities, has a hostel block which can accommodate up to 40 students, a well-stocked library and has seven laboratories.
The adviser also inaugurated the illumination of KK Hakku Hockey stadium in Jammu with the aim of betterment of facilities and infrastructure for sports activities in the state. A synthetic hockey turf in the stadium was also inaugurated by Kumar in the occasion.

At Parade in Jammu city, the advisor then inaugurated illumination of a Mini Stadium. He said on the occasion that indulgement in sports activities develops the youth by opening new horizons of possibilities and profession in front of them. He underlined the necessity of sports in human life.
