The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination or OJEE conducting body has decided to conduct the OJEE 2020 exam in online mode. The Chairman of OJEE Sudip Kumar Chand on 31 January declared that the OJEE 2020 exam for all programmes will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Earlier, it was only the postgraduate programmes which were conducted in online mode. OJEE 2020 is expected to be conducted in the month of May.
Chand also added that the schedule for OJEE 2020 will be announced soon on its official website. He said that the online format of the OJEE 2020 exam will not pose any sort of issues for those students who are well-aware about the functioning of electronic devices like computers and mobiles. He also said that by conducting this year’s OJEE in the online format will add the transparency factor to the exam.

He believes that with the introduction of online exam format of OJEE, the time gap between the conduct of exam and declaration of OJEE result will decrease significantly proving beneficial to the students. While summing up, Chand said that from this year onwards, the students do not have to look elsewhere for the OJEE mock test as it will be made available to them on the official OJEE site.

As of now, OJEE was conducted in online mode for all the postgraduate programmes which also included programmes like lateral entry MCA, M.Arch, M.Plan, M.Pharma, M.Tech, MBA and MCA. But, this year OJEE 2020 will also be conducted in online mode for programmes such as B.Tech lateral entry (for both B.Sc and Diploma students), B.Pharma lateral entry, B.Pharma and Int. MBA. The OJEE 2020 schedule is expected to be released shortly.
