Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, Prof. S. Ramachandran revealed that the varsity is aiming for A++ grade from NAAC. Recently, the varsity entered into the centenary year and inaugurated the celebrations in a grand manner in April 2017.

In 2008, the varsity received ‘A’ grade from NAAC which expired in February 2013. The varsity has been functioning without an NAAC grade for the past four years. In 2014, the varsity had made an attempt for NAAC grading but the attempts were not successful. Former VC of the varsity, Prof. Satyanarayana did his best for getting a grade. However, his efforts were not successful as he demitted office in July 2014.

Actually, the varsity was to prepare for the fourth cycle of NAAC grading. Due to delay in the appointment of regular VC, the varsity is now preparing for the third cycle of NAAC grading.
