HCL Technologies organised a three-day mega recruitment drive in Lucknow city until 14th August 2018. The mega recruitment drive witnessed a huge turnout of about 5,600 candidates from the city as well as from neighbourhood cities.
As per the records, over 5,600 candidates appeared for the walk-in interviews. Out of these, around 600 candidates (freshers) from non-engineering backgrounds and 120 fresher candidates from the engineering background were selected for different posts at the technology giant company HCL.
Sanjay Gupta, Executive Vice President, HCL also informed that 300 experienced professionals and 20 students who have completed their class 12th in science stream were also selected. The freshers will be provided with training by the company and during the training period, they will be given a stipend.

Meanwhile, he further informed that a similar recruitment drive was organised in Noida and over 700 people were hired, out of which 520 were freshers.
HCL has several ties up with banks that provide them loans for training. The training cost for engineers is Rs. 2 lakh each and for non-engineers, it is somewhere around Rs.1 lakh each.
According to the reports, the company has invested Rs. 600 crore in the past three years in similar initiatives. Such opportunities in tier-2 cities will help candidates stay rooted in their native place and they will not be required to move to metros for job opportunities.

At last, he informed that UP is a very important centre for them and they are even planning to come up with an IT city in Lucknow. The recruitment drive was introduced to provide young and talented candidates with employment opportunities in tier-2 cities.
