Panasonic India under its Ratti Chhatr programme has selected 19 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) across the country to confer 30 Scholarships to selected meritorious students. This is the company’s flagship scholarship programme. The scholarship is given to encourage students to pursue post-graduate courses at their respective IITs.
In the 5th Edition of the scholarship event, the CEO of NITI Ayog, Mr Amitabh Kant was present as the chief guest. He congratulated the winners of the scholarship and informed that the company has always supported and promoted higher education. According to him, such programs motivate and support to the young minds.
This year a total of 380 applications were received by Panasonic India for its scholarship program. Out of which, 234 were shortlisted for online examinations. After the online examinations, 160 students were called for interview round where 30 students got selected as the recipient of the scholarship. The company aims to confer 240 scholarships by the end of the year 2022.

The President and CEO of Panasonic in South East Asia & India, Mr Manish Sharma said that the Panasonic Ratti Chhatr program helps to connect aspirations with skills. The scheme encourages young academicians by providing them with financial support so that they can enhance their academic skills in IITs. The organisation is confident that the students benefited from the scholarship programmes will be the leaders of the future.
