Panjab University, Chandigarh has issued an official notification regarding the dates for law entrance examination. The varsity conducts entrance examination for the admission to these courses. The entrance exam for BA LLB course will take place on May 21, 2017, and the entrance exam for LLB course will be held on June 25, 2017.

It is mandatory for the aspirants to qualify in the entrance exam conducted by Panjab University to be eligible for admission to these courses. However, it is important to note that the varsity has not released the official notification for the admission to law courses yet.

Eligibility: -

  • The candidates applying for BA LLB programme for the academic year 2017 should have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • The upper age limit for BA LLB course is 20 years as on July 1, 2017.
  • Similarly, the candidates applying for LLB programme should have passed graduation with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • The upper age limit for LLB programme is 30 years as on July 1, 2017.

Examination Pattern for BA LLB Course: -

  • The entrance exam for BA LLB course will be held on May 21, 2017.
  • The duration of the examination is 1 ½ hour, i.e., 90 minutes.
  • There will be a total number of 100 questions and all will be objective type questions.
  • The question paper for BA LLB entrance exam will be for 100 marks.
  • There is negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

Examination Pattern for LLB Entrance Exam: -

  • The entrance exam for LLB course will take place on June 25, 2017.
  • The duration of examination is 1 ½ hour or 90 minutes.
  • The entire question paper is for 75 marks and all the questions will be of objective type.
  • There is negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
