Panjab University has launched a four-week crash course, three-month certificate course and a masters programme in governance and leadership. All these courses will be on offer from the current academic session 2017-18. The admission process for these courses has already begun. August 21, 2017, is the deadline to apply. Candidates with 45% of marks in social sciences (any course) or 50% in another discipline at graduation level can apply for the governance and leadership programme. Similarly, the candidates who possess B.Tech/ M.Tech/ M.Sc/ M.A degree can also apply for the any of the three courses.

Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University revealed that the main objective of these three programmes is to enhance just, fair and responsive governance and leadership which are looked for at every level of one's professional career. The courses are open to freshers as well as those who are already employed.
Working people who are interested to register for the programme need not worry about the class timings. The classes will take place in the evenings or for the entire day on Saturdays. These timings will enable the people working in different sectors to take up the course. The practical approach to learning is one of the core objectives of the three programmes as a part of which the participants will have to work as governance associates for at least three weeks duration.
