Panjab University (PU) has increased the validity of M.Phil and Ph.D entrance exam from two to five years. Earlier, the PU entrance test result was only valid for two years.
The suggestion regarding the same was made by the PU panel itself. According to the panel, the university conducts the exam on its own and therefore increasing the test’s validity will be beneficial for the students. Apart from this, the panel also decided that if a candidate has done the coursework in a UGC recognised university, it will be considered as valid by the Panjab University .
