Party Pooper: Mankirt Aulakh Fails to Perform at DCAC College Fest

The Delhi College of Arts and Commerce , popularly known as DCAC, Delhi University recently organised its annual cultural fest Ambrosia '18 . The students of the college who were keen to witness the Punjabi singing sensation Mankirt Aulakh as the main highlight of the fest were left disappointed.

According to reports, despite arriving at the venue, Mankirt refused to perform because the security arrangements made by the college were not up to mark. His fans (students) created a ruckus at the entrance and even climbed onto his car. The crowd was uncontrollable both inside and outside the college. Further, there were no barricades near the stage area that could have led to issues while he performed on stage - with the audience getting harmed or a stampede situation.

Before coming to the event, Aulakh also posted a video on his Facebook Page showing his excitement for the event at the prestigious university. His team was promised proper security and personnel from the Delhi Police, however, it was highlighted that extra security arrangements were not done for his performance with only a few officers who could be spotted, it was reported.

When asked, a group of students who were excited to see Mankirt Aulakh perform at DCAC said that the college had created much hype about the event yet failed to deliver and meet the expectations of the audience as well as the performer. Another student complained that the college should have called for a usual band instead of a big star like Aulakh if they knew they couldn't handle it.
