Patna University: 851 Seats Vacant in UG courses

There are 851 seats vacant in UG courses in Patna University at present for the academic year 2021-22. The University of Patna provides different courses for UG students in the streams of arts, sciences and commerce. For the academic year 2021, the university has conducted 3 rounds of counselling and spot admission but still, 851 seats out of 4,291 are vacant.

The university scheduled the process of online admission for undergraduate programmes from the 1 ^st of August to the 30 ^th of November. Although the duration of the admission process is quite long, all the seats could not be filled. The reason for the vacant seats as reported by Patna University students` welfare dean Mr Anil Kumar is the delay in the admission process. Even though the students are qualified but could not get any call on time, as a result, most of the students took admission in different states or institutions. He added that every year there would be only vacant seats in language streams as the aspirants for those streams are very few.

There is no clarity as of now, whether the university would conduct any special round of admission. The decision would be taken soon.
