The
Punjab Agricultural University (PAU)
is going to hold the 31st North Zone Inter-University Youth Festival 2015-16 from January 14-18.
“The events will be held at four venues - open air theatre, Pal auditorium, Jacob Hall and Examination Hall of PAU. Various committees have been constituted by the director students' welfare, PAU for the smooth conduct of the festival,” said R.K. Dhaliwal, director students' welfare.
Event Schedules
14th January
The festival will commence with the cultural procession followed by the inauguration and light vocal (Indian) event at Open Air Theatre. The mime and mimicry events will be held at Pal Auditorium whereas poster making and quiz preliminary events will be held at the Examination Hall.
January 15
one-act plays will be organized at open air theatre, classical instrument solo (percussion) and classical instrumental solo (non-percussion) at Pal Auditorium, quiz and classical vocal solo (Hindustani and Karnatak) at Jacob Hall, and collage making, cartooning and clay modeling events at the Examination Hall
January 16
One-act plays and folk orchestra will be held at open-air theatre, group song Indian and skits at Pal auditorium, debate and classical dance at Jacob Hall, and on the spot painting and rangoli events at the Examination Hall
January 17
Folk/tribal dance will be held at open air theatre, western song (group) and western song (solo) at Pal Auditorium, elocution at Jacob Hall and spot photography and installation events at the Examination Hall
January 18
The prize distribution function will be held.
