Delhi High Court has received a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) that sought the availability of college admission and government job information on a centralized system. The PIL indicated that the system would make the online application process accessible to all the aspirants.
As per the PIL, regulating forgery and malpractice will become easy as the candidates will need to login to upload official documents and educational certificates on the centralized websites. The bench fixed May 5, 2017, as the date to hear the plea.

According to sources, the plea also requested all the ministries to maintain two centralized portals. One portal to list the details about various entrance examinations conducted by colleges or universities and the other portal must have all the details relating to government and Public Sector Undertaking jobs.
The PIL also indicated that all the centrally funded and state-run universities, as well as government departments and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), shall update their recruitment or admission notifications on these centralized websites. The users will be allowed to create a Login ID and generate a Password to upload educational certificates, documents, photographs, signatures etc. for all the future and current applications. The accounts that the users will create will further be linked to their Aadhar Card.

The PIL further stated that the verified academic certificates and other documents that are uploaded on a ‘Centralized Login Account’ would regulate all kinds of forgery and malpractice.
Apart from the uploading of documents, the websites must also provide the facility of ‘career counseling’, it added.
