Throwing light on the lack of gap between the NEET UG 2021 Counselling and the NEET UG 2022 Exam , medical aspirants this year have raised their demands to postpone NEET UG once again. With several demands to postpone NEET PG 2022 also making the rounds, the concerned authorities which include the NTA and the Union Health Ministry are under a lot of pressure from medical aspirants and other organisations.

After the NTA postponed the JEE Main exam and JEE Advanced examination for 2022, NEET UG aspirants have been calling for the postponement of the medical exam as well. Citing the reasons for making this demand, medical aspirants have been claiming that there is not enough time to prepare for the exam with all the delays that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has made in releasing the official notification and registration details. Since the delays have been made by the concerned authorities who were supposed to release the notification at a reasonable time, the aspirants are unwilling to bear the brunt of their delay.
Several aspirants also have a problem with the NEET 2022 exam date clashing with the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 and other state-level examinations. Students have been sending letters to the Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan at the Parliament House in hopes that the exam will be postponed under sufficient pressure from the student community and its allies.
One student mentioned on Twitter - “Reason many capable students are leaving their own country is because our govt is not giving us fair chances. If Jee can be postponed and held twice then why not neet? U were the one to delay counselling, and then take the responsibility. Why do we have to suffer?”.
The NTA is yet to comment on the matter. The registration for NEET UG 2022 is in progress and the last date to apply is May 15, 2022. Aspirants are requested to check the official website - neet.nta.nic.in.
