Union Minister of HRD, Mr. Prakash Javadekar will meet the Directors of IITs this month. The meeting will be conducted to discuss various issues related to funding and vacant faculty positions in the institutes.

A senior HR official said that the meeting will be conducted to discuss a wide range of issues which focus on the development of IITs. The government is doing its best to place IITs in the international rankings. The ministry wants to make IITs financially stronger.

Prakash Javadekar met the faculty and the management of IIT Delhi recently and discussed various issues with them. Recently, Mr. Prakash Javadekar said that education is beyond politics and the government is giving more importance to implementing schemes related to education. In order to attract the foreign students, the government is also conducting IIT Entrance examination in foreign countries. The system of education in India has been operating according to the vision of our PM, Mr. Narendra Modi.
The government is also planning to set up a Higher Education Financing Agency in order to support institutions of higher learning.
