Pratt & Whitney, a renowned aircraft engine maker has announced its partnership with YMCA University of Science and Technology to offer aerospace and aviation skill development programmes for students. Both the organisations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the same. The partnership will play a vital role in improving the aviation ecosystem in India. They will together work towards creating industry ready talent through numerous skill development programmes and initiatives. Both YMCA University and Pratt & Whitney will introduce short-term executive development programmes. These programmes will improve skills and talent needs of the aviation ecosystem.

The partnership between the two organisations will also concentrate on developing customised elective courses besides university curriculum. The elective courses will help the students in preparing for jobs in aerospace and aviation sectors.
With an objective to meet the demands of skilled workforce in Aviation industry, the government has set up India’s first aviation university i.e Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University in Uttar Pradesh. The inaugural ceremony of the varsity took place on August 18, 2017.

YMCA University of Science and Technology is located in Faridabad (Haryana). YMCA University is an autonomous institution that was established in the year 1969. The varsity offers B.Tech course in various fields of engineering. Every year, the varsity organises cultural and technical festivals and encourages the students to explore their hidden talents. The varsity has separate hostel facility for both boys and girls. Free WiFi facility is also available in all the hostels.
