Preparation for PUSU Elections begins

Patna University (PU) has started preparing for its election after a gap of more than 2 years as last time the elections were held in the year 2012 and in the month of December. The Patna University will hold its election to PUSU, i.e. Patna University Student’s Union.

The Patna University VC Mr. Y.C Simhadri has framed a committee which is head by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Ranjit Kumar Verma and the principles of colleges, apart from the heads of PG Departments to decide on the modalities for the elections. The committee will discuss the issue and pursue the draft of the union elections regulations and approved by the chancellor-cum-governor Mr. Ram Nath Kovind. The committee will hold a meeting on Monday for the same.

It is noteworthy that PUSU elections have been like a launching pad for a no of students into politics.
