Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS), Secunderabad to organise its convocation on December 23, 2016 in which President Pranab Mukherjee will preside.

A press release from the institute said that around 38 graduates students and nine post graduates students from six specialities of Dental Surgery would be offered their degrees during the ceremony. The Army Welfare Education Society established Army College of Dental Sciences in 2001 to offer professional education towards of retired and serving Army personnel.
The college is located at Jai Jawahar Nagar of Secunderabad. It admits six six meritorious and talented students from Telangana on the basis of their performance in EAMCET exam. ACDS was awarded the NAAC 'A' grade certification in 2016. The hospital is equipped with advanced infrastructure in dental implant treatment, endodontic microsurgeries 170 dental chairs laser-assisted surgeries. In addition to this, both ex-Servicemen and civilians are benefited through community outreach programmes in oral and dental care by the college.

The college offers 4 years duration course and one-year internship programme in Bachelor of Dental Surgery under the Dr NTR University of Health Sciences. Every year, 40 students are admitted into the course. Out of these 40 seats, 34 seats are to be filled through merit list of NEET for the retired and wards of Army personnel and the remaining 6 seats to be filled by KNRUHS or Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, at Warangal in Telangana.
