President Ram Nath Kovind is to deliver a lecture on the 3rd Foundation Day of National Law University - NLU Odisha on Saturday, 17th March 2018. He is also scheduled to deliver a lecture for a selected group audience at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium.

According to the sources, the NLU Odisha 3rd Foundation Day will be attended by many VVIPS of the country such as Chief Justice of India Justice Dipak Misra, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and others.
NLU was established in the year 2008. The First Foundation Day of NLU was celebrated in 2015 that was presided by Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel Prize Winner. He is an Indian children’s activist and the founder of Bachpan Bachao Andolan. He has also been an active member of various children’s rights movement both in India and abroad. As per the records, he has liberated more than 86,000 children across the country from activities like child labor, slavery, and child trafficking. Further, in 2016, the second foundation day lecture at NLU was delivered by Hon’ble Justice DK Jain.

During his visit to Odisha, President will make several visits to the city's significant places and such as Museum at Odia Bazaar and Anand Bhawan. It is a house of the legendary freedom fighter Biju Patnaik. His home has been converted into a museum and learning center for the general public.
