The schedule for the second phase of national eligibility-cum-entrance test was issued by the CBSE on June 2. Earlier the UP government issued a formal word on the Combined Pre-Medical Test.
As per the schedule, sale of forms for online submission began on May 26. Admit cards would be uploaded on July 8 while the exam will be held on July 24. More than 60,000 students are expected to take NEET-2.
Director, general medical education, Dr Virendra Tripathi, said, "The chief minister has been apprised with the matter and an order is awaited." Earlier UP goverment decided to go with NEET for admissions to state run MBSS and dental colleges. For admissions to courses under AYUSH, a notification would be issued soon .
NEET-UG is an entrance examination in India, for students who wish to study any graduate medical course (MBBS), dental course (BDS) or postgraduate course in government or private medical colleges in India.NEET-UG (Undergraduate), for MBBS and BDS courses, will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
NEET-UG replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual MBBS exams conducted by states or colleges themselves. However, many colleges and institutes have taken a stay order and conducted private examinations for admission to their MBBS and BDS courses.
