Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has decided to cancel the remaining class 12th examinations in the state. The decision was taken by the board on July 10, 2020.
Mr Vijay Inder Singla, the School Education Minister of Punjab, informed that the Punjab state government decided to cancel the remaining examinations. The decision will apply to class 12th, Open School, Reappear and Golden Chance students of the board.
Mr Singla also said that the decision has been taken due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has made it impossible for the state government to safely conduct the examinations. The official Twitter handle of the Government of Punjab also shared the information with the students on 10 July 2020 in the evening.

Alternate Result Calculation Process of PSEB
PSEB has decided that it will use the best performing subjects formula to declare the results of the students. Mr Singla also gave more information about the same.
He said that if any student has appeared in the exams of 3 subjects, his/her best two performing subjects will be used to calculate his remaining results. The average marks of the best two subjects will also be awarded in the remaining subjects.
