Punjab School Education Board (PSBE) will commence the board exams for Class 10 & Class 12 students in March. Considering the growing number of incidents related to mass copying over the years, PSEB is taking extensive measures to prevent mass copying this year. For this purpose, over 28,000 CCTV cameras will be installed in all the exam centres across the state. The PSBE has invited tenders from the interested organisations or agencies for installing CCTV cameras on a rental basis.

PISA indicated that the ex-treasury of state government will be burdened by Rs. 6 crores if CCTV cameras are installed in all the exam centres. The association further assured full support for the smooth conduct of exams. PISA is ready to take steps against mass cheating in exams if state government seeks its support.
