Punjab government is organising 5th Mega Job Fair at 82 venues from September 9. As many as 1,819 companies will be offering jobs. The government has arranged for self-employment loans as well.
The 5th Mega Job Fair by the State Government of Punjab is set to be held from 9th September 2019. As many as 1,819 companies will be offering 2,10,000 private-sector jobs to the youth. The job fair will also facilitate self-employment loans to around 100,000 youth.
The Employment Generation and Technical Education Minister of Punjab, Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi announced the details of the Job Fair on Monday, 2nd September 2019.
The 5th Mega Job Fair of Punjab Government will be held in every district of Punjab. The fair which is set to start from 9th September and will continue till 30th September 2019 at 82 venues. He further informed that Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh will hand over appointment letter to the selected candidates on 5th October 2019 at Ropar. Also, another high-end job fair will also be held at ISB Mohali on 18th September 2019. Around 25 multinational companies will participate in the same and will be offering 800 positions with Rs.3-9 lakh packages annually.

Organising job fair by the state government is a great initiative to improve the employability rate to provide students with relevant job offers. Such initiatives on government's behalf will ensure that candidates are not sitting idle and are getting a job as per their career interest.
