Three IIMs in India has been ranked in the top 50 list of Worldwide QS Business Master Rankings. The Master in Management category top universities list has recently been released by Quacquarelli Symonds known as QS worldwide ranking. IIM Bangalore secured the highest place among Indian B-Schools. The institute ranked at the 26th place in the QS Rankings followed by IIM Ahmedabad at the 27th spot. Also, the 46th place in the top 50 has been secured by IIM Calcutta . The IIM Calcutta’s newly introduced PG Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) programme has also acquired 38th place in the Masters Rankings of Masters in Business Analytics Category.
There were four categories in which, the B-Schools from around the world were ranked. Those are management, business analytics, finance and marketing. Under each category, 5 parameters such as employability, return on investment, entrepreneurship & alumni success, thought leadership and class & faculty diversity were taken into account.
Except for these 3 institutes, other 3 institutes have also found its place in QS Rankings in 101+ band. These institutes include the newly found IIM Udaipur , IIM Indore and TA Pai Management Institute .

The QS Rankings for all sectors came as a relief for Indian institutes as no Indian institute or University could make its place in the top 300 place in the Times Rankings which raised enough questions on the Indian Higher Education system and its way of quality enhancement. Some educationists, like the Director of IIT Delhi directly rejected the rankings of Times Higher Education (THE) by saying that the Times has no idea of the education system and practices.
