OP Jindal Global University is among the top 101-150 young universities in the world as per the recently released QS Young University Rankings 2021. It is the first and the only private Indian university which offers arts, humanities and social sciences courses to feature in the rankings.
Expressing his joy over this achievement, the university's Chancellor, Naveen Jindal said that JGU's recognition among the top 150 universities can be seen as great development and highlights the fact that age and time are no limitations if you have the willingness, hard work, desire and commitment to developing a world-class university. JGU has been announced as the number one private university in India according to the QS rankings.

VC of JGU, C Raj Kumar said that this is a remarkable achievement and a proud moment for the university to be featured among the top 150 universities in the world which are less than 50-years of age. It is certainly a significant recognition for JGU which is just 11-years old. These rankings have reaffirmed the university's commitment to excellence and at the same time, it also places a huge responsibility on the university as it moves ahead towards achieving more such goals in the near future.
Apart from JGU, three other universities which have featured among the top 150 in the world are Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati and the University of Hyderabad.

The QS World University Rankings features a diverse range of universities from the young universities to the ones which have been here for a few years and the ones that have been around for hundreds of years. This increases the level of competition for the young universities because of the relatively less time they get to represent their university or institute.
