Questions on Modi Government Feature in Lucknow University Exams

Questions on Modi Government Feature in Lucknow University Exams

Lucknow University students who appeared for the B.Com Final Year Applied Economics examination were asked questions related to various schemes introduced by the Modi Government.

The question paper sparked a lot of controversies among the left wing students following which they protested against the same by uploading the question paper on social media. However, SP Singh, Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University reacted while emphasizing on the fact that there was nothing wrong with the question paper. Around 10,000 students appeared in the examination which took place on 17 March 2018.

The question paper of applied economics final year consisted of questions such as, explain in brief the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Digital India, Startup India, Soil Health Card Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana.

All the questions related to Modi government i n the question paper were compulsory and each of the questions carried 4 marks each. There were ten subparts of question number 1 which was compulsory and seven of them were about Modi government and their schemes.

Faculty and administrators of the university did not find anything wrong with the questions related to the Modi government as they are very much part of our economic structure. As per the university officials, all the questions asked were relevant and it is vital for students to have appropriate knowledge about the same if they are studying the Indian Economy in detail. Hence, there was nothing wrong with the question paper and the questions asked were very relevant to the subject itself.
