Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan Chief Minister confirmed that the final year degree, engineering and polytechnic exams are scheduled to be conducted in July 2020. These exams were postponed due to lockdown in March, April and May. With the government lifting lockdown in a phased manner, final-year exams are planned to be conducted in July. Higher and technical education department officials are directed to ensure that health and safety-related protocols must be followed during the examination.
While it is mandatory for the final year students to appear for the exams, first & second-year students of all courses will be promoted on the basis of merit. However, this promotion will be provisional, and the examination for such students can be conducted once the situation turns normal in the state.

All the students, invigilators and exam centre officials must wear masks and use sanitisers. The authorities must make sure that adequate social distancing measures must be followed to avoid the spread of Coronavirus. In order to ensure social distancing, the number of exam centres for these exams will be doubled. At the same time, there will be enough time between each session of the exam so that disinfection activities can be taken up.
In Rajasthan, a total of 4.29 lakhs students have been enrolled in various higher education institute for 2020-21 academic session. However, no information related to admissions has been issued for the new academic session.
