To reduce the stress among the students studying in the coaching centres of Rajasthan, the State Government has decided to set up a state-level committee to regulate coaching centres. The state committee for preparing a draft in this regard has been already set up by the state government. The committee is headed by the Principal Secretary of Rajasthan School Education Board. The committee will prepare a draft after having discussions and suggestions from stakeholders before the final submission.
The District Collectors, SPs from the coaching hotspot Kota and Sikar will also be included in the committee. The other members of the committee include the Bikaner-based educationist Amichand, and superintendent of psychiatry centre in Jaipur.
The state-level committee will also have members from Tata Institute of Social Science , child psychologists, law consultants among others.
The members nominated by the committee will also visit other states and hold discussions with stakeholders there. After a thorough discussion, a report will be submitted to the panel.

This initiative of the Rajasthan Government will help reduce stress among the students and will also keep a check on suicide cases in the state. Kota is the hub of engineering aspirants. Every year, thousands of students enrol themselves at coaching centres in Kota with a dream to secure a seat in IITs or NITs . Due to the stiff competition, the students get stressed and attempt suicide. The committee will keep a check on the same and will help student fight stress and anxiety.
