From this year onwards, undergraduate courses will be introduced by Haridev Joshi University of Journalism and Mass Communication which is situated in Rajasthan. B. A Journalism and Mass Communication or B.A JMC is all set to be introduced from the upcoming academic session beginning from July onwards.
Those who want to join the BA JMC course of HJU Journalism and Mass Communication must have cleared their Class XIIth examination from any discipline. A written exam will be conducted by the University through which the applicants’ knowledge of languages, understanding of society and politics and general knowledge will be assessed. This will be the first instance where a public Rajasthan University will be offering an Undergraduate journalism course.
The syllabus of HJU B.A Journalism and Mass Communication will comprise of chapters on animation, graphic, design & layout, photography, film & documentary, advertising, Public Relations (PR), online & social media, digital, print and Radio & Television etc. as per the statement of Om Thanvi, Vice-Chancellor of Haridev Joshi University (HJU), the University’s Khasa Kothi academic campus will host the BA JMC classes.

The upcoming academic session will also see the introduction of PhD programmes in the University.
Other than the aforementioned programmes, several other Diploma programmes like Diploma in Development Communication, Diploma in Photography, Diploma in TV Production, Diploma in Desk Publishing, Diploma in Functional English and Diploma in Practical Hindi are expected to be introduced by the University. The duration of the Diploma courses will be 6 months.
