Students of B.A.-I and B.A.-II bid a farewell to their seniors of B.A.-III year at Rajshri Tondon Girls Degree College (RTGDC) Allahabad. The programme began with lighting of lamp by the Principal Pramila Tondon and B.A.-III students Deeksha Malvuya and Karishma Kapoor. This was followed by a Saraswati Vandana.
The students welcomed their seniors and presented an entertaining cultural programme. The students of B.A.-III took part in a fun game passing the parcel, which was one by Amita Gautam. Aanchal Srivastava and Pragya Malviya presented titles to the seniors.
Miss Farewell title was won by Deeksha Malviya while Karishma Kapoor was awarded the runners-up title. The principal Pramila Tondon wishing luck to the students said that years in the college were important part of their life and it was their duty to maintain discipline and moral values inculcated in them. She further said that the students of the college should do their bit to preserve the rich cultural heritage of our country as creativity and growth of the society was in the hands of women. Our girls should follow the footsteps of great women of the country like Gargi, Sita, Apaala, Rani Laxmi Bai, Indira Gandhi and Kalpana Chawla.
Culture and progress should go hand in hand. Success is not easy always but the success achieved after struggle is more meaningful, she added. The programme was conducted by Pragya Malviya and was organized by the efforts of Pragya Malviya, Aanchal Srivastava, Kajal Sharma, Shilpi Singh and Shraddha Tripathi.
