The session was attended by more than 500 meritorious school students along with their parents.

The Rayat-Bahra Group's initiative of introducing unique New Age Programs in collaboration with leading MNCs Google, IBM & Siemens, under scholarship and freeship schemes for deserving and meritorious students has been launched.

Mr. Gagandeep Singh Nagra, Country Manager, Android Enterprise at Google while addressing the meritorious students said that since courses such as B.Tech. Computer Science Engineering put emphasis on android development and MBA with emphasis on digital marketing, students will get ample opportunity to gain hands-on experience with Google’s educational tools, learn about innovative instructional strategies and will be able to creatively use technology to enhance learning and actively use them to serve the industry they serve. He revealed that the Android app is Google’s flagship product and the world’s most popular mobile operating system. He also said that Android captures 40 percent of the market share and its penetration in India is the highest.

Mr. Ajay Verma, Technical Advisor at Siemens in his address told the students that 4 years integrated degree program in Mechanical Engineering offered along with a certificate of merit in Design & Development by Siemens Industries will empower the next generation of digital talent. He further added it is vital to play a role in developing talent for the future to replace the ageing workforce in the manufacturing and industrial sectors. The only way to change the perceptions of engineering and manufacturing is to set up new age program centers, he added.

Speaking on this occasion Rayat-Bahra Group Chairman S. Gurvinder Singh Bahra remarked that it was an exciting partnership model which will generate excellent options for engineering and management students and further enhance their careers across the globe.

Dr. Suresh Seth, Campus Director Ropar Campus in his welcome address said that the new age programs are first of its kind in the institutions of this area with an aim of preparing the students to usher into the digital world of IT giants.
