The cancelled Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) Level 2 exam will now be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education on July 23-24, 2022.
The Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) Level 2 exam that was cancelled by the Rajasthan Government will be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education on July 23-24, 2022. Earlier due to the paper leak incident there were protests all around the state that forced the government to cancel the exam.
On February 7, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced in a press conference that the Level-2 examination of REET 2021 stands cancelled amid accusations of large scale irregularities. He also announced in his budget speech that the exam will be reconducted in the month of July 2022. There has been an increase in the number of posts as well from the existing 32,000 to 62,000 posts

He also mentioned that no application fee will be charged from the old candidates for the re-examination to be held in July. In addition to this, all the facilities candidates were availing of during the earlier REET exam will be given this time as well. During the previous REET exam, the Rajasthan government provided free travel in roadways and private buses to the candidates for the exam. This facility will be given this time as well.

During the budget speech, the CM had made a few announcements regarding the education sector in which he said that 36 women universities would be started in 19 districts of Rajasthan. The government will also set up as many as 3,820 schools, including many English schools, till Class 12. New medical colleges will be opened with an educational hub in Jaipur as well.
