Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada has announced that around 2.72 lakh students have registered for Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (AP-EAMCET) 2017 examination. The registration process for AP-EAMCET 2017 ended on March 21, 2017, and the number of students applications for the examination are more as tompared to the previous year.
A total number of 1,93,469 students applied for engineering stream and 77,676 students applied agriculture and pharmacy streams. On the other hand, a total number of 1,079 students applied for both engineering and agriculture streams. AP-EAMCET 2017 examination will take place from April 23 to April 27, 2017.

This year, there will be no offline examination for AP-EAMCET. All the candidates who have applied for the entrance examination have to take an online test. It is the first time that the state government is conducting online AP-EAMCET.
With an objective to create awareness among the students from rural areas on online examination, the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education will conduct mock online EAMCET examination in all the junior colleges across the state. this mock exam will be held from March 27, 2017, to April 3, 2017. As per the report that was given by the Council, around 25,000 students from junior colleges applied for AP-EAMCET 2017.

The Council also indicated that the applicants who wish to practice online mock EAMCET could do the same through the official website of State Council for Higher Education (SCHE). The candidates have to select the option AP-EAMCET and later click on ‘Mock Test’.
The Council has also launched an android application for all online CETs and the candidates can check the schedule, date of examination, hall tickets and others through the app.
