After a series of post-poning, the government of Andhra Pradesh has finally released the merit list of DSC, a Teacher Recruitment Examination to fill up 10500 teacher posts in Andhra Pradesh which was held in January, 2015. Finally the Education Department of Andhra Pradesh has started the counselling and verifying the certificates of the qualified candidates.
Intially the government released the key to the examination on April 26 ,2015 and realized that there were many mistakes in the answers. Aspirants who appeared for examination started to protest and the government released the final key in November, 2015.
Then there was a delay in the release of merit list. Unable to bear the delay, the aspirants had gone for fasting and strikes. They said that the government is taking a lot of time to release the merit list.
Finally, the government released the merit list on 12th February, 2016. The counselling has started and the qualified candidates are given appointment letters after the thorough verification of certificates.
In Krishna and Guntur districts, out of 620 posts only 302 posts were filled and the rest still remain vacant. The pass percentage of DSC is very less than compared to 2010 DSc examination. Only 39.5 have qualified in the examination.
