According to recent reports, the result of ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 board exam will not be declared for another 10 days. The result, that was supposed to be announced on May 15, has been pushed back by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).
The board has informed that the evaluation of answer sheets has not been completed yet. The delay has been caused as few of the papers were rescheduled due to assembly elections that were held in 5 states.

Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE, informed that the evaluation is still in process and the results will only be announced when the process will be completed. He further added that the exact date of the result announcement will be declared on the official website of CISCE well in advance.
In 2016, the ICSE and ISC results were announced on May 6 by the CISCE, whereas, in 2015, the result was announced on May 18.
Close to 2,50,871 candidates appeared for CISCE exams this year. Out of these, 1,76,327 candidates appeared for the ICSE exams and 74,544 appeared for ISC exams.

As many as 8 papers clashed with the elections that were scheduled in 5 states. All these papers were then conducted on a later date. According to the revised timetable, the ICSE exams were conducted from March 10 to April 21, whereas, ISC exams were conducted January 30 to April 26.
