Law Common Entrance Test results 2016 were declared but the admissions are yet to start. The delay in the admission process has left students in a fix as they are not informed about the exact delay in the schedule. Most of the students are anxious when they will get a chance to fill their preferences.
The delay in the admission process is taking place as the colleges are in the process of registering their course seats with the directorate of higher education. The colleges cannot prepare the merit list until the verification process is completed by the directorate of higher education. An official from the directorate said that they will be through with the procedure by the end of August.

The verification process will disrupt the schedule of the colleges and the session will be pushed further, said the principal of one of the colleges in the city.
The principal also added that this will disturb the equilibrium of the colleges as teachers will not get the required time to finish up the syllabus mentioned in the curriculum. The law colleges will have to start the session quite late while B.Com, B.Sc and BA courses have started their classes for the first year students for the session 2017.
Classes for second and third-year students in law colleges have commenced while the classes for fresher students are on hold as admissions have not yet started.
