With a motive to give international exposure and better access to quality education to students, Ahmedabad University will start considering the scores of SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) for the admission to UG (Under Graduate) courses from the next academic year, which comes as a positive move of the university.
Ahmedabad University is a founding member of the Indian Global Higher Education Alliance . The varsity is trying to make SAT accessible for students in India. At present, numerous talented students are unable to access scholarships and courses offered by top universities across the country. Ahmedabad University is trying to change the existing scenario by considering SAT scores for the admission.

The College Board made an official announcement regarding the consideration of SAT score for the admission during the Indian Global Higher Education Alliance symposium that took place in Delhi. During the event, an announcement was also made on College Board India Scholars Programme.
As a part of College Board India Scholars Programme , talented and meritorious students from low-income groups can take SATs at a minimal cost to obtain full scholarships for seeking admission in member universities. Ahmedabad University is also one of the members of the College Board, a popular US-based non-profit organisation.

Ahmedabad University will issue detailed information on the guidelines for the admissions based on SAT score.
