Good news for all SBI Clerk aspirants regarding SBI Clerk Exam Official Language.State Bank of India has recently revised the list of official regional languages of many States. Various new regional languages have been added to the official list of the states.A candidate who has applied for the examination may now choose his/her preferred language for the examination. Below is the state wise list of official languages:

Bengal Circle

  • West Bengal: Bengali / Nepali / Urdu / Hindi / Santhali / Oriya / Punjabi \
  • Sikkim: Nepali / Bhutia / Lepcha / Limbu / Newari / Rai / Gurung / Mangar / Sherpa / Tamang / Sunuwar / English

Chandigarh Circle

  • Jammu & Kashmir: Urdu / English
  • Himachal Pradesh: Hindi / English

Chennai Circle

  • Pondicherry: Tamil
  • Tamil Nadu: Tamil / English

Delhi Circle

  • Delhi: Hindi / Punjabi / Urdu
  • Uttarakhand: Hindi / Sanskrit
  • Uttar Pradesh: Hindi / Urdu

North East Circle

  • Assam: Assamese /Bengali / Bodo
  • Tripura: Bengali / English /Kokborok

Hyderabad Circle

  • Andhra Pradesh: Telegu / Urdu
  • Telengana: Telegu / Urdu

Lucknow Circle

  • Uttar Pradesh: Hindi / Urdu

Patna Circle

  • Jharkhand: Hindi / Santhali / Bengali / Mumdari / Hoe / Kharia /Kudduk (Uraon) / Kurmali / Khortha / Nagpuri / Panchpargania / Odiya
  • Bihar: Hindi / Urdu

    Last Date for Changing:

    You can change your official language for the SBI Clerk Exam till 5 June’2016. The link will be active till 5 June only.

    Who is Eligible for Changing?

    All such candidates who registered and paid their fees before the last date of registration are eligible for changing their Official regional language.

    What is the Link?

    The link has been made available on the Bank’s website.
