• Latest Update at 11 PM: Maharashtra School Holiday 5 August 2024 have not been declared. All schools to continue with classes amid orange alert and flood alert at Pune.
• IMD has issued an "Orange Alert" for the Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, and Nashik districts of Maharashtra until August 6.
• Mumbai, Palghar and Thane are waterlogged.

• According to IMD, most parts of the state are likely to receive light showers to thunderstorms and heavy rainfall until August 5.
• The risk of landslides is high due to the continuous rainfall, however, flash floods are less likely to occur.
