- Districts Wayanad, Kasaragod, Kannur, and Kozikhode are on Yellow Alert on 5 August 2024.
- There is no confirmation of the Kerala School Holiday 5 August as per the latest information.
- If the weather is not improved, students shall expect the holiday to be declared.
- IMD has issued an "Orange Alert" for the Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, and Nashik districts of Maharashtra until August 6.
- Mumbai, Palghar and Thane are waterlogged.
- As per the latest report, schools have not been announced as a holiday, yet, however, the Maharashtra School Holiday 5 August 2024 is most likely to be declared in the most affected areas only.
- The weather in Karnataka is currently stable, with Uttar Kannada and Udupi under Yellow Alert.

- According to IMD, most parts of the state are likely to receive light showers to thunderstorms and heavy rainfall until August 5.
