Calcutta University conducts entrance examination for the admission to five-year integrated M.Sc or B.Tech course. However, the students of Calcutta University are exempted from taking the entrance examination. The candidates can check the detailed eligibility and counselling process here.
Selection Process: -
- The varsity divided the seats into 60% and 40%.
- 60% of seats are reserved for the candidates who are pursuing Honors degree at Calcutta University or affiliated colleges.
- 40% of seats are reserved for non-CU candidates.
- Group wise Entrance Test for Non-C.U. and C.U. applicants for selection in 40% of total seats will be held.
- Selection for 40% of such seat in each course will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test only.
- Final Selection will be based on 20% of weightage in the percentage of two general subjects in B.Sc. level examination.
- 30% weightage to be taken from the percentage of marks obtained in Honours subject of 3 year Bachelor’s Degree course
- 50% of weightage percentage of marks obtained in the Entrance Test.
Counselling Process: -
- The shortlisted candidates need to attend the counselling process with all the necessary documents.
- The candidates have to confirm the admission and deposit the course fee.
- The admission of the candidates will be cancelled if he or she fails to carry the relevant documents to the counselling.
