A team of Birla Institute of Technology - Patna students is going to display its talent at a vehicle show organized at VIT, Vellore by American Society of Mechanical Engineers, from March 17th to March 19th.
The students have designed a semi – recumbent bicycle with 2 landing gears with the purpose of stability apart from sensors for vehicle detection and monitoring the surface of road. The Bicycle can notch up a speed upto 60 KMPH. The cycle has a dynamo for landing. The students have developed the bicycle under the guidance of M.A Hasan. The team of 16 members, known as Cyclone has developed the bicycle and its an opportunity for them to apply the design principles of sound engineering.
There would be a total of 40 teams at the competition known as 'Human Powered Vehicle Challenge'.
