Sharda University Launchpad has collaborated with Harvard Business School Online and Amazon Web Services. The collaboration will focus on ‘Powering Youth Entrepreneurial Dreams’ at the University.
The Executive Director of Sharda University, Prashant Gupta has stated that there have been new fields of study that have come up in the field of entrepreneurship. The world is starting to see budding entrepreneurs starting to take part in business while they are studying.
According to him, the aim of introducing Sharda University LaunchPad is to provide the young entrepreneurs with a platform to where they can think up ideas which can then be successful as well. LaunchPad will serve as an environment where the entrepreneurial spirit is nurtured and flourishes, says Director of Sharda LaunchPad, Prof Suman Sarkar. It will provide the students with the opportunity to connect with expert entrepreneurs so as to gather more knowledge and learn from their experience and expertise. The LaunchPad will organise short-term programmes, speaker-sessions, industry interface, and various other activities.

Prof Suman Sarkar also stated that they have successfully helped their students to successfully launch their ideas and make it into a successful business venture as well. They aim to promote R&D and innovation which can be used to produce solutions with the help of the latest technologies, mentorship from the industry as well as providing them with the guidance to mould their ideas into successful plans.

Sharda LaunchPad offers a variety of 8 different programmes, viz. Entrepreneurial Finance, Recognising and Shaping opportunities which will be customer-centred, etc. The courses offered by Harvard Business School Online will be mentored and curated by William A Sahlman, who is a distinguished faculty from the B-School.
