Shiv Nadar University conducted its third convocation ceremony for the undergraduate batch of 2017 on 13th May. 440 graduates received Bachelor’s degrees for different specializations including Arts, Natural Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences, Engineering, and Business. Apart from the graduate degrees, the program also welcomed the pass outs of the academy’s first two doctoral scholars. Moreover, Dr. Jagdish Sheth was conferred with the Honorary Doctorate by the Shiv Nadar University. He is a famous scholar and is also globally accepted as a leader.
Mike Lawrie, who is the CEO of DXC Technology; Founder and Chairman, HCL and Shiv Nadar Foundation became a part of the convocation ceremony along with the faculty of the university, scholars and parents.
Dr. S N Balakrishnan who is Chancellor of Shiv Nadar University stated that their institution works towards research activities. One out of the two Ph.D. scholars is seeking his post-doctorate degree from the Canada-based varsity of Alberta and the other is supposed to join one of India’s best business group i.e. Reliance group as a scientist.

Lawrie appreciated the graduate scholars on their achievement on account of DXC Technology. He even appreciated the varsity’s efforts in providing advanced approaches of culture by imparting the vigor of modernization as a basic path of teaching.
58 companies visited the University for recruitment for the 2017 batch of graduates. Amazon, AIS Glass, Directi, Deloitte, Dreamworks, Axis Bank, Dell, LG electronics, Adobe Systems, Piramal Foundation, TAFE, Nagarro Software, Rockwell, Halonix, Capgemini, Bank of America and KPIT, were the leading recruiters this season.
The University also revealed that a huge number of scholars have collected graduate admissions and financial benefit from finest academy and varsity across the world. IISC Bangalore and IIT Bombay who are considered to be one of the finest institutions have given admittance offers to the scholars of Shiv Nadar for higher studies. Scholars have also accepted offers from finest international institutions such as University of British Columbia, Purdue University, Rutgers University, IE Business School etc.
