SP Jain School of Global Management 's Bachelor of Data Science (BDS) has been given the top spot in the annual Data Science Education Rankings by India’s foremost data analytics publication, the Analytics India Magazine (AIM). The ranking is done on the basis of various parameters such as course pedagogy, gender diversity, faculty profile and credentials, faculty to student ratio, external relations, graduation outcome, return on investment, placement assistance, brand value, and student review.
The latest ranking places SP Jain Global ahead of most of the established data science courses in India as it has received top scores in pedagogy and course structure, faculty-to-student ratio, and faculty profile and credentials. The Director of the BDS programme at SP Jain, Dr. Abhijit Dasgupta, said that the college aims to pave the way for students so that they can develop the important technical and analytical skills in order to strengthen their value as Data Scientists and Analysts . He revealed that companies are now pouring millions into their digital transformation initiatives, thus making data science emerge as one of the most important skills for the modern workforce. BDS at SP Jain is a three-year multi-city course of the UG level aimed at preparing the next generation of innovative Data Scientists and Analysts.
