Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur celebrated it's annual festival recently which was organized Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department.

The event includes paper presentation sessions and poster exhibition.

The theme of the conference was Advances in Engineering, Technology, and Applied Sciences. This multidisciplinary conference covers all the engineering disciplines and applied sciences. Every year about 500-1000 students participates in this conference. It provides the platform to the students and faculty members of UG, PG programs and Ph.D. scholars for exhibiting their research talent. It is one of the most popular conferences among students of the region and since last ten years, it is getting very good response from the students studying in different parts of India.

SPANDAN this year received more than 500 papers from India and abroad countries including United States, Saudi Arabia, and Europe.

Dr.Uday P Waghe Principal YCCE welcomed all participants. There was the special presence of guest Mr.Rajendra Jodhpurkar Delivery Head, Persistent Systems Limited along with Dr. Anuraj Shankar from Harvard University Cambridge, United States. Mr.Rajnedra Jodhpurkar also an alumni of YCCE said in his speech "Students should present the papers which will have strong practical applications.

Dr. Anurag Shankar is a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Nutrition. He has conducted large-scale field research and advised on program activities in multiple countries in Asia, Latin America, and Africa, and has authored nearly 50 articles on immunology, infectious disease, nutrition, and maternal and infant health.

Dr. Shankar’s current areas of interest relate to the integration of health interventions and monitoring to build local capacity for use of data in decision-making to scale up services and strengthen the quality of care to reduce maternal and perinatal deaths.

Dr. Prasanna L. Zade Head Of Department Electronics and Telecommunications YCCE motivate student by his excellent speech.He said in his speech that "No matter who win or lose here , All you who have participated in SPANDAN are Winners for me because "Koshish Karnewalo Ki Kabhi Haar Nahi Hoti ,Koshish Karne walo ki Kabhi haar nahi hoti"

Prf.S.S.Khade, Assistant Professor, YCCE was the guest of event.

The outstanding papers of the conference shall be published in the International Journal of Research in Engineering and Applied Sciences (IJREAS) and will be awarded with cash prize.

Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE) was established in the year 1984 by Nagar Yuvak Shikshan Sanstha, Nagpur. It is an autonomous institution affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. YCCE is renowned for engineering education and research. ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS & TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

The E & T Engineering Department was established in the year 2001, since the inception of college the department is endowed with highly qualified and well experienced faculties and its distinguish alumni's are spread across the globe. The department has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation AICTE, New Delhi.

It is the Age of Communication in which the E & T plays a vital role in almost every field. The primary objective of the department is to impart quality education, training, and research at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in various areas of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with the broad emphasis on design aspects of electronic systems. Here the students are given more practical exposures and innovative methodologies for the design and development in the Electronics & Telecommunication field, which is the backbone for all Engineering disciplines. It has well qualified and experienced faculty with areas of specialization in Communication and Antenna Design, Signal and Image processing, Embedded Systems and VLSI.
