Students who have enrolled for the B.A. LLB course offered by Savitribai Phule Pune University must note that the term for first-year of five-year B.A. LLB course will begin from August 23, 2018. The varsity has issued an official notice in this regard. Apart from SPPU, colleges affiliated to the varsity will also begin B.A. LLB first-year first-term on August 23, 2018. The affiliated colleges of SPPU are spread across three districts such as Ahmednagar, Nashik and Pune.
SPPU B.A. LLB course follows semester pattern. The first semester will begin on August 23, 2018, and will continue until December 22, 2018. The second semester will begin on January 07, 2018, and will continue until April 30, 2018. All the colleges affiliated to SPPU must follow the dates/ schedule strictly. The teaching will have to commence as per the date prescribed by the varsity.

If the colleges fail to begin classes on August 23, 2018, due to the delay in the admission process, they will be required to cover up the syllabus by conducting classes on holidays/ Sundays. However, the rule is not mandatory and not binding on colleges. Even if colleges commence their academic session late, they will have to conclude the term as per the date prescribed by the varsity.

At the end of each term or semester, exams will be conducted. SPPU will release the official exam dates for the first semester soon. The date sheet will be uploaded on the official website of SPPU.
