The question paper of electrical engineering paper of the first year engineering examination was discovered on the cell phone of several students.

At a time when the students appearing in the examinations are anxious about the fate of their papers, the dubious attitude of the University has surprised all.

There was no clarification from Ashok Chavan, the controller of examinations. He did not even respond to the calls of the media. Wasudeo Gade, Vice-chancellor of the University said that officials of the university were informed of the leak after the exam had already started. As a result, the examinations were conducted with the same set of question paper. The authorities of the college said they couldn't have postponed the exams in the middle of the paper as that would have created chaos in the exam hall leading to the students' trust in the sanctity of the entire examination process.

Surprisingly, coordinator for faculty of engineering, Dr. Y P Nerkar, denied any knowledge of the leak. He said that he came to know about this incident through the reports published in the media and he was not intimated officially by anyone.

An anxious student said that he read about the incident in the newspaper in the morning and he did not even know what happened on the campus of the college. He heard that there would be a re-examination and does not want to repeat the paper, as he had done well.
