Some courses of Jammu University will be designed with the help of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) of Delhi University. The college will also look into the matter if the conflict situation in the region is the reason for any mental pressure of the students that can impact their academics.
Simrit Kaur, the Principal of Shri Ram College of Commerce told the Press Trust of India (PTI) that the SRCC has signed a memorandum of Understanding with Jammu University and it has been decided that the teachers from SRCC will visit the region shortly with the mission to analyse the potential and skills of the students in that region.
SRCC Principal Prof. Kaur has informed that the teachers from Shri Ram College of Commerce will be visiting a women's college in Jammu shortly not only to design their curriculum but also to check if they are able to conduct competitive examinations outside of the region or not.
In the conflict-driven place of Jammu, Prof. Kaur has made clear that the teachers will also see the psychological structure of the students in conflict and how their mindset is impacted by the environmental situation of the valley. The teachers will conduct some tests for the students not to check their performance in their curriculum but also skills, general knowledge, and personality traits.
