Srinivas University, city campus, Mangaluru has introduced an MBA in Retail Management in association with Future Group Retail Company for the upcoming academic session.

Srinivas University , city campus, Mangaluru will be offering MBA in Retail Management in association with Future Group Retail Company. The unique thing about this course is that the Future Group trainers and expert managers along with the university professors have worked on the course design, curriculum and delivery with Future Sharp Skills Ltd (FSSL).

As a part of the course, students will undertake frequent visits to the malls in order to be able to relate the classroom learning with practical application. Subjects such as retail operations, store hygiene, visual merchandising, retail business, retail business analytics, retail value chain management, product approach and category management will give the students perspective for working in a retail environment.

FSSL will also make arrangements for retail value chain journey at their stores and warehouses so that students are able to understand how is the retail life cycle i.e 'retail yatra'. Students will also be given a chance to resolve real-world problems of the company along with industry mentorship which will be given to them at the time of the final project during the course. Various industry experts will also visit the university campus to deliver guest lectures. Future group, as well as the university placement cell, will provide placement assistance to the students.

Students can also pursue doctoral research in retail or market research and even take up entrepreneurial ventures during this course. Students can also do on-the-job training in the various sectors of retail management areas such as retail companies, malls, trade chambers, consulting firms, real estate companies etc.

After pursuing MBA in Retail Management, one can work as a visual merchandiser , store manager, store logistics officer, store officer, supply chain executive, warehouse manager.
