In an attempt to create another useful machine, five students from the Mechanical Department of the SRKR College of Engineering, have engineered a machine that can be used by handicapped individuals. As part of the final projects that the students K Surya Vamsi, G Harish, K Lokesh, P Pavan and T Venka, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering had come up with the idea of creating such a vehicle.
As per sources, the vehicle was fitted with a diesel engine at the rear of the vehicle and the front of the vehicle had been equipped with a Hydraulic System which can be used to lift heavy materials and objects as well move them from one place to the other. Vamsi Krishna and Surya Vamsi have stated that the total expenditure that they had to pay in order to create the machine was a total of ₹65,000. They have named the machine as Truck Well Chair, sources state.

In a statement made by Surya Krishna, he says that the machine is capable of lifting heavy objects which can also be moved from one place to the other. He further added that the machinery can be operated by a handicapped person as well since all the functioning of the machine can be done using hand controls alone.

The Head of the Mechanical Department Dr K Brahma Raju had acknowledged the efforts that had been put in by the students in creating something that that could benefit the society and as well help those people who are differently abled. He also stated that the students had taken a total of three months to complete the project.
