The Mechanical Engineering Department of St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala organized Project expo at Annem Function Hall on 5-May-2016. The project expo was inaugurated by the college correspondent, S. Lakshamana Rao. He said, “These type of project expos will bring out the hidden talents of students. These expos will not only develop knowledge but also scientific skills. The college conducts project expo every year. This year the project expo has a lot of exhibits”. He appreciated the students and the Mechanical engineering department for their hard work in bringing out the best projects.
Students displayed the following projects:-
- Solar Car
- Four Wheel Steering
- Production of 3D Solar energy
- Automotive Radiator
- Exhaust Air Conditioner
- 3D New Matrix
- Robot which regulates fire accidents
- Gripper and many more
Solar Car designed by final year mechanical students, CH. Amarnadh, G. Phanikaumar and B. Vamsi Krishna attracted the visitors. This car has been designed with the support of the department. An amount of Rs.60,000 has been spent to design solar car within a span of thirty days. The faculty of the department supported the project financially. The car runs with solar energy at 30 Kmph. College principal, chairman and correspondent rode the solar car and appreciated the students and faculty.
